Reclaiming the Bible, Our Faith, and Our Place at the Table

ABOUT THE BOOK

Queer & Christian by Brandan Robertson offers a powerful and affirming perspective for those at the intersection of queer identity and Christian faith. As a former evangelical pastor in training who faced conversion therapy and public outing, Robertson understands the struggles and divisions within modern Christianity regarding LGBTQ+ inclusion. In this comprehensive and accessible guide, he dismantles the notion that being queer and Christian is a contradiction.

Explore the Four Key Parts of the Book:

  • Wrestling with the Bible: Exploring Brandan’s personal journey to reconciling his faith and sexuality.

  • Reclaiming the Bible: Historical and contextual insights into biblical passages traditionally used against queer people.

  • Seeing Ourselves in Scripture: Highlighting queer figures and relationships in the Bible.

  • Commonly Asked Questions for Queer Christians: Practical and theological guidance on coming out, dating, and engaging with non-affirming Christians.

Queer & Christian is not only a compelling interpretation of key biblical texts but also an inspiring testament to the resilience and faith of queer Christians. It serves as a vital resource for anyone seeking to understand how queer identity and Christian faith can coexist, providing theological insights and practical advice to empower queer Christians and their allies.
